Carnival Cruise - Cozumel

We have made it back from our Carnival cruise adventure! We had a blast and highly recommend it. However, I do recommend that you do the 5 or 7 day cruise. We did the 4 day because we where nervous about getting sea sick and in the end we where not ready to leave. We did have some choppy evenings but once you get use to it, than it's no problem. Here are a few pics around the boat.

DON'T BUY THE PUPPY IN THE WINDOW!

If you are considering purchasing a puppy in the future please read this article.

http://www.aspca.org/fight-animal-cruelty/puppy-mills/

I have been an Puppy Mill Activist for a very long time. I think many people do not realize that puppies in pet stores are from puppy mills where female dogs are bred nonstop for profit. When the female is no longer capable of breeding than she is put to sleep. The adult dogs and puppies are keep in horrible conditions and are rarely if ever touched. Most of them live on wire their whole lives and will never get to run in grass, play with other dogs or with toys. By purchasing a puppy from a pet store you are supporting these kennels and allowing for the cruelty to continue. Pet Stores will tell you that they get their puppies from great breeders, but THEY DO NOT. Please think about this before buying one of these puppies. Remember that shelters and rescues are overpopulated with puppies and adult dogs. If you do not want to go to a rescue or shelter and want a purebred dog from a breeder, than PLEASE go to a reputable breeder. Make sure to go to the reputable breeders home and see where the dogs live at and the conditions they live in, if they will not let you do this than they are NOT a reputable breeder. You can find reputable breeders at: www.akc.org

Happy Birthday Abby and count down to vacation!

Happy 6th Birthday Abby!

The semester is wrapping up and finals are next week. In my pursuit for higher education I having been driving two days a week to Huntsville since January. As the semester comes to an end I can't help but think of my first day in Huntsville. I remember feeling very alone and very old. Now I walk the halls and smile at the people I have met. It's amazing how things have changed over a few months! But as the semester ends the summer begins, so now it's a countdown to our vacation in two weeks! Cozumel we are coming soon!
