I'm in love.......

I'm in love with the Oliso smart iron, it has i-touch technology. So when you touch the iron it warms up and then with you let go of it it lifts up on it's own so it doesn't burn anything. It's amazing! I have been able to use it in quilting class and at a friends house. It took a while to get used to it and stop standing it up on its side. Once I did get used to it I feel in love with it. I will be asking for this iron for Christmas!!!

Busy Baby month...

June has already been a busy month. So far one baby shower and two babies born.
I had the privilege of helping out with Aaron's cousin Kali's baby shower. She had her big 9.1 pound baby boy Tyler two days after the shower. Here is a picture of the diaper cake and towels animals we made for the shower and a picture of Tyler.

The second baby is my cousin Rebecca's baby girl she was born just one day after Tyler and both babies where due the same day and arrived a week early. Ellanor Katelyn was 7.2 pounds and beautiful like her mother. Here is a picture of Rebecca and me at Rebecca's baby shower believe it or not she was 8 months pregnant and looks great. Also a picture of baby Ella.

We are done yet we still have three babies due this year and a baby shower next month!

Carnival Cruise - Cozumel

We have made it back from our Carnival cruise adventure! We had a blast and highly recommend it. However, I do recommend that you do the 5 or 7 day cruise. We did the 4 day because we where nervous about getting sea sick and in the end we where not ready to leave. We did have some choppy evenings but once you get use to it, than it's no problem. Here are a few pics around the boat.

Our excursion in Cozumel on a private ecological park beach.

DON'T BUY THE PUPPY IN THE WINDOW!

If you are considering purchasing a puppy in the future please read this article.

http://www.aspca.org/fight-animal-cruelty/puppy-mills/

I have been an Puppy Mill Activist for a very long time. I think many people do not realize that puppies in pet stores are from puppy mills where female dogs are bred nonstop for profit. When the female is no longer capable of breeding than she is put to sleep. The adult dogs and puppies are keep in horrible conditions and are rarely if ever touched. Most of them live on wire their whole lives and will never get to run in grass, play with other dogs or with toys. By purchasing a puppy from a pet store you are supporting these kennels and allowing for the cruelty to continue. Pet Stores will tell you that they get their puppies from great breeders, but THEY DO NOT. Please think about this before buying one of these puppies. Remember that shelters and rescues are overpopulated with puppies and adult dogs. If you do not want to go to a rescue or shelter and want a purebred dog from a breeder, than PLEASE go to a reputable breeder. Make sure to go to the reputable breeders home and see where the dogs live at and the conditions they live in, if they will not let you do this than they are NOT a reputable breeder. You can find reputable breeders at: www.akc.org

Happy Birthday Abby and count down to vacation!

Happy 6th Birthday Abby!

The semester is wrapping up and finals are next week. In my pursuit for higher education I having been driving two days a week to Huntsville since January. As the semester comes to an end I can't help but think of my first day in Huntsville. I remember feeling very alone and very old. Now I walk the halls and smile at the people I have met. It's amazing how things have changed over a few months! But as the semester ends the summer begins, so now it's a countdown to our vacation in two weeks! Cozumel we are coming soon!

Houston Rodeo 2010

It has been a while since I last posted, time has been flying by. Aaron and I took time out of our busy life last week for Spring Break which included two trips to the Rodeo. Believe it or not I have lived in Texas my whole life and have never been to the Houston Rodeo. We where offered tickets from some friends to see Keith Urban in a VIP suite.

It was my perfect first trip to the Rodeo. My favorite part was the bull riding. Keith Urban was awesome and put on a great show, including running around the crowd and having a seat in the audience to sing.

My Canadian friend Summer came in town for Spring Break so we decided to plan a group trip to the Rodeo before she left. We got cheap seats for Eli Young Band on Friday night and had a blast. Gabi's little brother Ryan was the only guy we could get in the pics.

The Woodlands Speeding Problem................

I think that The Woodlands has a speeding problem. Have you ever been driving down Lake Woodlands Drive doing the speed limit or maybe 5 over and then have a car blow by you to race up to the light? Don't they ever figure out that don't get anywhere any faster? I really think that a lot of the residents think they are better then the law and they don't have to go the speed limit. It drives me crazy!
I also think that we as a country have put to much on our plate and are too busy. So we race around to make it to places on time. When will this stop? I am a busy person to but I manage to go the speed limit or close to it.

Welcome 2010.......

Stupid Google, I have been blocked out of my account for a while. So I emailed the helpdesk for Google then it instantly worked with the password I had tried a million times. Makes no sense.

Anyhow, So Aaron and I have made it through Christmas and New Year's. We are ready for a great 2010! This year has a lot going on in it; at least three babies (friends and relatives) on the way, three weddings to attend, hopefully a vacation or two and lots of work.

It's so cold I wish we where back in Destin!
